Our chickens spent the day up to their beaks in deep bedding, having a party.
Thanks for the heads up @Jaye , the TSA processed straw is a great hit with the birds and the barn "staff"

Good afternoon, though it feels like nighttime, I am ready for a nap.

Had a successful road trip yesterday, to pick up some things for me as well as a couple other people, though I might be getting old for these long solo trips.

Left my place at 6:30 am headed to East Gwillimbury near New Market for hatching eggs.

Next stop was Minesing to see Colin aka Giffin Farms for a few chicks. Good to meet you Colin.

My next stop was going to be Windy Fields Farm for some non-GMO, soy free food, but I was running behind, so skipped that stop and headed to Clifford to pick up quail (california, white bobwhites and snowflakes, not for me).

Then headed back to Dundalk for chicks and eggs. Stopped in Orangeville at TSC for some feed, then made one last stop just outside Orangeville for "Easter eggs", then made my way home with a quick dinner stop arrving home at 12:30 am.

So 18 hours, 5 poultry stops and 1100 km round trip.

These morning was up and headed to the Vernon Auction for a couple hours, I normally never buy at auctions but this time

I bought 2 pairs of there, only 1 pair pictured not sure which one is female, which one is male...

Well I have to go feed birds if I can get off couch.

Hey, @JimW , I was there too, but didn't see you. It seems your photo attachment has disappeared. 😒
I almost always go to the Vernon auctions, but have only ever bought there once. Until today: I picked up a covey of Golden Italians, 4 hens and one rooster. This afternoon - what's left of it- will be spent organizing housing. They're so pretty. 😍

I was not there long, 8:45 to 10:15. I just mainly go to check out prices and see what is there. Have not bought a bird at auction in a couple years.

I did my shopping yesterday. If the photo works an "Easter Egg" I picked up yesterday.

Just in case you ran into this issue in the last two weeks:
Prepare a new post, add more than 1 attachment, hit post, => not all attachments are shown???? :sAng_banghead:

This is NOT a new way to :sSig_censored: your free speach or a subtle hint to some :rulez:

I am assuming it's not for decorative purposes and you (or somebody else ) are actually planning to hatch it?
