In my next life, I want to be one of your chickens, @Happy . :-)

I think that's the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me 😋

Just wondering. We have several different breakfast cereals we rotate through. I caught myself asking Vian which "feed" he wanted this am? I may be too far gone to help!

I think that may go under "thinking like a chicken"
I caught myself standing in the veg department of a grocery store, considering price benefit of different salad components, based on how much of it would be used by us and what part could be chicken treats, or possibly the other way around ;)

Well, I'm glad I'm not alone. I buy food for us and make sure there are chicken treats in the cart...lol

I buy seconds from our local apple orchard for the turkeys and chickens. Some I cook because they are still really good. We do have a shopping list with chicken grapes on it.

Heck, I'd take Happy as one of my chicks in this life.

The hen came back, I thought he was a goner....

I have an old blind EE hen who disappeared last week. Assumed that she had bumbled off and been taken by whatever prowls around the barn looking for a meal and hoped the end was quick and was thankful she had a good life. Well what a shock this morning when I get to the barn and there she is outside the pen, not a feather out of place and looking for breakfast!
I had a girlfriend like that once.

Too funny, but I think you're too late Farrier. She's already taken!
