Give us back our Thunderstorm Thetford SW! We were supposed to get one at 9pm but now they say it's been taken away from us! Drying up here in Kingston and getting tired of watering!

Re: Good Morning!
We had a thunderstorm late this aft complete with hail and wind so strong the rain was blowing sideways it seemed. That's likely flattened a few wheat fields. I haven't had rain at my house for ages. It's a wonder the garden is still going...watering it just isn't the same as what mother nature can do for it.

Re: Good Morning!
I sleep with the windows open all year around regardless of weather, not really worth getting air-conditioning for the occasional heat wave. Cool basement and dehumidifier seems to keep things manageable.
I think we got the other 1/8" of rain here, didn't really cool down much of anything, certainly didn't water the garden.

Re: Good Morning!
i saw one where they cut down those invasive phragmites and used the stems of those tied in a bundle. alas, there are phragmites everywhere....i'm just too lazy to go and find some. 2 hives arrived in the mail yesterday but we were busy installing blinds and avoiding thunderstorms to put them up....
so i get an email from an egg customer last night. i've been looking for my ceramic eggs (for the egg eaters) for the last couple of weeks since we got back from vacation and had people looking after the place. i mean, these ceramic eggs had blue sharpie "FAKE" written FOUR TIMES on them! the people collecting eggs and doing chores must have washed it off, and packed them up in cartons to be sold. So now i have a ticked off customer, and broken ceramic eggs, so i'm out that money, and out egg money and out this weeks egg money to make it up to them. it is just not worth going away and having others looking after the place.....sigh. it just makes more work.....yep, cranky today. HOW MANY CHICKENS WRITE FAKE IN BLUE SHARPIE ON THEIR EGGS??!!!? i should be laughing about this....
and a hidden side effect of sealing up the house.....bats.
yep. 2 bats in the house last night.
awesome. and no clue where they are getting in.
hubby shooed them out the window....
