Thank you for a morning chuckle KB, I watched the mud slides in California on the TV last night, and thought , right, first the fires, then the mud slides sounds downright biblical and now your xmas tree, pretty much completes the triptych. ;)
on a brighter note, booked a flight to SC this morning, not really thinking of escaping the weather, apparently it is now everywhere, just a change of scenery and a side trip to Savannah GA one of the cities on my bucket list. :racer:

And what is so special about Savannah?

Charleston SC, NYC, and Nashville on my list.

Good morning all!
Since it is above freezing, I placed our house hen back in the barn with the flock. The oldest large red hens (Frey's dual purpose free-loaders) were not very welcoming. We will have to find time soon to put them in the freezer.

Savannah for me holds a great deal of history. I think exploring the antebellum and civil war history of the area would be fascinating. I am also a wee bit of an art history and architecture enthusiast. Where else can you see Federal, Georgian, Gothic Revival, Greek Revival, Regency, and Second Empire French buildings all in one city! The Spanish moss hanging in the trees, you can almost hear the whispers of Margret Mitchell echoing in the treetops with the lines of Gone with the Wind. OK, GwtW is Atlanta...but they burned that city to the ground in the CW, so Savannah has kept her Antebellum-ness. That’s why it is on my bucket list.

Georgia--humidity worse than Ontario, which is saying something. But they have lots of juicy peaches and tupelo honey, and a change of scenery. Nice place to visit, but you can guess the rest lol
