A preliminary look says that its hopeless for my chickens. Theyre moulting or just feathering in from moulting or stress cases. Or did i mention moulting? Gah! Maybe a turkey or two but theyre feeling their oats and even my girls are fanning and strutting....wth?! Theyre outside in the mud....sorry that should be MUD. We thawed. Its foggy and muddy.
So not looking great for anything useable photo wise.....sigh.

On another note we went for a long long walk yesterday all trhough the woods around the place. Chased a few deer around by accident...they were there and circled us at least once while we were puttering around. Exhausted the dog-hes old and arthritic and i was worried we would have to carry him home.....we took lots of breaks coming back home, he enjoyed it and then slept the rest of the day. Lots of bunny and coon tracks, a few yote tracks and tons of deer and turkey prints. Then our new neighbours popped in in the afternoon to say hi. So they met the horses, they haveva very young son and dauhter - 3 maybe 4 years old...never heard turkeys gobbling before, the look on her face was priceless. She was little enough the horses were too gentle getting the carrots and dropped them on the ground lol...good ponies.
Started painting.....not going very fast, more like just fussing with it. Have the front entranceway half done. Behr has a paint rebate on right now, so need to get the rest of the paint and get going. Ironically the colour is gray squirrel.....and looks nothing like a gray squirrel in my opinion.
Lazy sunday. Cant say i care. Lol
Have a great one everyone!!

Just came back from a doggy walk, started out during a gentle snow fall at 2PM, by the time I was coming back at 3 PM the wind was whipping ice pellets, felt like shards of glass on my face even with my hood on tight.
Now complete white-out, must be saving the good stuff for the rush hour commute. :(

Nasty freezing rain etc. Thought I'd take photos but girls decided they would mud bathe! processed the last 2 Jakes today and it was nice to see that despite the poopty weather and cold they had a lovely layer of fat.

Our server provider is pushing out an upgrade that affects us for a bit. Expect some downtime until about mid afternoon.
