Bunny deal, NO!

Post by Skinny rooster » Mon Nov 06, 2017 9:04 pm

My neighbour came here with four rabbits, seems he wants to reduce over winter numbers. I told him that I am reducing as well I don't want the chores. I stood my ground firm and told him that no matter how absolutely cute they were, there was no way I was taking any more rabbits with winter coming except for the two that I took. Hey I don't judge your weaknesses so back off!

Lol, now he is trying to add one more. This bunny and I have history, so she may come back here lol. Many years ago when I first wanted to get into lionheads, this neighbour had a beautiful female, she was supposed to be two or three when he got her, a year or two later he asked if I wanted her, I said yes and so in 2012 ,he gave her to me. Last year I gave her to a loving home to spend her final days. Unfortunately the people could no longer keep pets and she ended up back with my neighbour. Full circle for her and she is actually in great shape, so there is the possibility she may come here if he asks enough lol.

Have you considered starting an animal refuge sort of outfit, where people can bring their retired pets they can't keep anymore, but come and do the chores or walk the pets or pay huge amounts of money so they don't feel guilty for dumping their animals on somebody else?
Barring that, how about "Bunny Yoga"?
I am sure people would be lining up for that, has got to be easier then Goat Yoga? ;)

OC I like your idea, help unwanted pets and make a little coin off the guilt. Bunny yoga, now there's an idea! I'm almost the chicken guru around here. I helped an aging hen pass on to the large chicken run in the sky. I did it for a neighbour, I don't mind helping, the bird was suffering. I was only sad because it originally came from me years ago, it was the last of my golden laced Wyandott bantams.

Ross my rabbits are lionheads and Netherlands dwarf bunnies, so NO SOUP POT!
