The birds out smarted me!

Post by Happy » Tue Oct 10, 2017 2:20 pm

A few nights ago I looked outside and saw the coop's exterior light on. It's on a motion sensor so I went to investigate. Didn't see anything. Couple hours later when I let dogs out for one more pee it was on again. I figured the dogs would let me know if something was around and just left it. Next night same thing. Now I'm starting to think maybe a tree branch or something has grown and the sensor is picking up wind movement so decide to look at it the next morning. That night I woke up in middle of the night and heard roosters crowing. Looked out the back door and there's interior and exterior lights blazing in the darkness and I can see chicken silhouettes moving in the windows. Little buggers had turned the lights on and were up filling their faces with the treats I had left for the morning lol. I need to toddler proof the coop!

roflmbo roflmbo
You need a light switch cover!
My Embden gander has somehow figured out that if he pecks at the front door loud and long enough, someone will come and open it. To be greeted by all four of them pooping all over the step, hopeful looks on their faces.

Diligently follow the path of two swords as one. Percieve that which the eye cannot see. Seek the truth in all things. Do not engage in useless activity.
