This June photograph shows a home in Vaughan where the family keeps chickens in their backyard. On Tuesday, Toronto council approved a pilot project so some residents can keep chickens. “From a nuisance perspective, they are as clean as cats and dogs, they are as clean as the owners who keep care of them,” says Councillor Joe Mihevc.
