O_O Ahhhh! Giant Spider!!!

Post by Skinny rooster » Sat Aug 12, 2017 1:08 pm

The local paper mentioned something about giant spiders this year but since I hate them all.... I didn't pay attention. They look like the wolf spiders in your bathtub but tarantula size.

Well hole Eeeee poop.... I just went to open the window in my cold storage room and when I lifted the blind I was so stunned, shocked by what I saw that I actually wasn't frightened, after backing away I had a sudden urge to barf. Tarantula size certainly applies here. I will try to post pictures later. I have seen some monster spiders in past years but nothing like this. Oh my gawd, what if it had babies somewhere!

Cool! We have some REAL BIGGIEs at our bush lot... I'm not frightened by spiders, but more than once the sheer size of one lurking in the outhouse would give me pause. I can go out into the woods with a flashlight early night, and see hundreds of pairs of eyes reflected up at me from the leaf litter. It looks like something from a Stephen King novel, but it's really neat.

One of my favourite terrible movies but I love the song too!
Don't watch this if you hate spiders.

Sooooo, I sprayed it, there was no way I could relax knowing that thing was lurking in the basement. Last night I went in and found it lying on the floor, big black eyes shining back at me (unsettling) but the creature is dead. But.... I felt so so bad, like killing a rare tiger out of panic when it wasn't bothering the villagers. I wish I knew a guy/woman that likes spiders and I would have said come and take it out into a field somewhere, far far away, like thirty seven farms over lol. I would add that spiders like to bite me, including last year one really got me on the back leg, so you see my thought process. All day I had the "creeps" and jumped if something touched me. I did not know we had such a thing, I wish I stayed ignorant lol.
