Farm names?

Post by ChickenLittle » Fri Jul 07, 2017 10:18 pm

Ok, we have tried to think up names for our farm for a year. By farm I mean we have 10 acres, most of which is agriculture but some zoned environmentally protected. It pretty rolly, has a lovely pond and the only thing we have now are chickens and veggies for us. We want something with "little" in it since that is our last name. I can only think of "little pond farm" or "little acres" and "Little cluckers" (more of a joke, not really looking for a chicken themed name since we are planning for bees and goats). Yup, no creativity here. Any suggestions? Winner gets gratitude ha ha.

"Grow a Little Farm"
"Little Homestead"
"Little Estate"
"Little Meadows"
Just a few that might get you some new ideas.

Ya gotta to go to other languages. Lillehammer is little hammer in Norwegian. Lillejordbruk is little farm.

Kleiner bauernhof - little farm in german

Any local landmarks to mention? Family background -French? german? swedish?

We named our place Lochiel Grange. A grange is a "country house with farm buildings" and we're on the Lochiel Creek.
