Don't know if this link will work... if it doesn't I'll delete it, and no one will ever know, lol.
I worked here for about years... but was having neck and shoulder problems from milking. (as I also have a farm, I just couldn't come home and rest up, lol).
They look after their cows very well. My sister, whom I milked with is still there, shes been there 23 years now. Shes the grey haired one in the parlour, lol.

Very slick ... Good stuff .
Long way from bucket , milking stool & steel milk can . Have a milk can here in house with pic of our place in winter hand painted on it with wooden lid for stool . Thanks for sharing BVF Luck

That looks like a very nice facility, far from the local guy I didn't like here. He had dirty, low light barns and didn't seem to care.

And to think that we milked 20 Friesian Holsteins in the late fifties in the Netherlands, (all by hand), that kept the whole family well fed and paid just about all the bills!! We have sure come a long way, or have we??

Depends on how yu look at it Pete .. You fed the family & this lot sounds like helping feed more than one family . Luck

One of the fun chores when I was a kid visiting the farm my Uncle and AUnt worked on was shovelling the muck after milking! We thought it was great to play with hoses and cow Poop!

You are right my big buddy, but BVF's post brought back some great memories from when I was just a young lad at a time when life seemed to be so much more relaxed, slower, safer and without hardly any pressure. Pete.

No matter how you look at it tho... this is classified as a factory farm pretty much. But... cow comfort is of the utter most importance. The cows are happy, and they give alot of milk. Their average is 120 pounds per cow per day. AVERAGE. I have milked cows there... that give 30 kg per milking. 3 x a day. Although they do have a few exceptional individuals, because of the cow care... the average livespan of a cow giving this much milk is about 7 years or less.
