Goodbye Earl

I'm sad to announce that Earl has to go
:sighke1: I'm not sure what happened to him. He is only going to be 2 this summer
2 batches of eggs this year in the bator and only 5 chicks from him
Thank goodness Shirley was good enough to give me some eggs this last batch or I would have only 2 chicks this 2nd go in the incubator!!!
I'm just wondering if anyone has a mutt rooster for sale.
What I'm aiming for are smaller sized hens
that still lay a decent sized egg
My hens are a good size so I'm thinking if I have a smaller breed rooster I might get a new batch of average size hens
I'm not looking for purebred anything.
I'm happy with my varying colours of birds
If anyone has a rooster they think might work and have available please let me know
Thanks everyone

Haha. Thanks I am afraid to see the puppies. Lol
I should have mentioned in my post Preferably not an EE
Some of the eggs I hatched from Shirley are EEs so if one is a nice one I will keep one
But thank you very much for the offer
I'm still unsure about the muffs they have :rubbingchin:

Hi Ross
Do you think they would be big enough to mate with my hens that I have now?

As long as they squat to be bred don't know why not . What kinda hen's you got? I don't mind bringing the biggest in a pen & you bring a hen & compare .

Well now. That's a loaded question. Lol
My hens are originally from Freys. Barred rock
Black sexlink. The white ones with black neck lacing (not sure if they are Columbia rock?)
Plus I had some silver laced Wyandotte
They are all offspring of the above plus my rooster Leroy and his son Earl. The roosters are mutts but pretty big
