I have activated @ mentions again.
Usage: start by typing "@" and then the first 3 (three) characters minimum(!) of the user you want to mention. It will show a list of suggestions, but it might take a moment or two before they show. Select the one you want by clicking on it.
It will insert into your post. That will get changed to the @username when you click submit.

If the list is too long, type a 4th character, wait a bit for the new list, and so on.

The user mentioned will get a notification.

You can change your own notification settings by going to UCP (click on your username in the top right, "User Control Panel") -> Board preferences -> Edit notification options => it's at the bottom of the list.

This extension is a newly written one and does not have the load issues the last one has. Also, it is still in development and might have some strange behavior. So, please report anything you think is not as expected. If there are too many things wrong, or it causes issues, I will disable it again.

@windwalkingwolf it seems to work on my old android samsung. but I think yours is even older than mine. HEHE. I wrote win and then backed out of the keyboard and your name was there to choose.

@windwalkingwolf works on my Android, too. Don't even have to back out of the keyboard for the suggestion to come up.

Need someone's attention to a specific post?

Just type @ and then the username. Select it from the list. And they get a notification.
