Does anyone know where i can buy suitable plastic leg bands for adult chickens (not bantam) in a bricks and mortar store...numbered ones would be preferred...I hate buying stuff online....I'm getting old I guess..lol

The Vernon auction is coming up and the gentleman who sells supplies there, carries them.

I'm assuming that the date listed on the website is current for this year, since the auction sales are always on Saturday and March 18 is a Saturday in 2017.

I think Tom is after that human contact thing

I buy them from berry Hill, but have actually run out of different colours to buy now.
I colour code the years, so I can tell at a glance who is who without catching the bird, but if you need more then one band on some birds to distinguish separate "families" shortage of colours becomes a problem really fast.

The guys at berryhill are very personable....lol. i always end up having a huge chat with the owners when i am there. Ha ha.
