Copied off FB I didn't write this lol..But in honour of the year of the rooster here you go:

SETTING EGGS BY THE MOON'S SIGN

According to page 245 of the 2017 Old Farmer's Almanac, "Special Anniversary Issue", Chicks hatched this year under the waxing moon, in the fruitful signs of Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces, are healther and mature faster...So my hubby and I sat down today w/the almanac & and calendar and figured out for all of our chicken lovers & hatcher out there, the days of each month that you will want to put your eggs in the incubator to insure you get the very best babies possible for this year...Good luck hatching all your special babies. :)
DATE TO GO IN INCUBATOR........................HATCH DATES
17-18 January.................................................7-8 February
6 February......................................................27 February
14-15 February...............................................6-7 March
12-14 March...................................................2-4 April
10 April...........................................................1 May
18-19 April......................................................9-10 May
15-17 May.......................................................5-7 June
3-4 June..........................................................24-25 June
11-13 June......................................................2-4 July
5-7 August......................................................26-28 August
15-16 August..................................................5-6 September
2-3 September................................................23-24 September
11-13 September............................................2-4 October
29-30 September............................................20-21 October
5-6 November.................................................26-27 November
2-4 December.................................................23-25 December

This sounds like a great experiment! But, we need 'control' hatchings as well. I'm assuming the UNfavourable times to hatch would be when the moon is waning and in an unfavourable constellation? I have no idea how that works. How do I find out what the dates are? I will set eggs to hatch at both times, and see which hatches are better, which chicks healthier. But, one persons experience does not make a scientific ANYTHING (by the way, microwaved water grows plants just fine, despite what a middle schooler posted to a friend of a friend lol) SOOOO, it can't just be me, other people have to take part as well :D
