Ingredients - Onions , 4-5 large makes 2-3 bowls depends on appetite . Salt , butter , flour , milk , pepper , curry powder ,
Cut onions into 1/8s
Put in sauce pan cover with water , salt to taste , cover pan boil until tender .
Drain liguid don't keep .
Take onions out , add 2 tablespoons of butter to pan , melt butter , add 2 heaping tablespoons of flour , stir , cook till blended . Add 2cups milk to the mix , continually stirring till a creamy sauce over medium heat . Add pepper , salt & curry powder to taste . Add onions , mix thoroughly & serve . Enjoy luck
I'm sure it would be great with poultry . Mom fed to us as kids to keep us healthy & drive the cold out .

"Drain liquid don't keep" ....its called soup stock. I keep onion skins and clean potato peels in freezer and boil to make a stock. It beats a "soup cube" from the grocery store which is basically chicken fat, salt, and msg. McCormick is the only soup cubes I do buy...vegetables and salt and no junk.
