How much does an Easter egger chick usually go for?
Asking because just saw some for sale for $50 a chick. I would expect them to grow up and lay golden eggs for that price lol.

Yes. Are they special? I didn't think Easter egger was even a breed!

@OC... hahaha! Oh no, is that the pot seed selling guy or the mute Ameraucanas guy or the buck a chick guy. I even saw an ad saying get chickens and say goodbye to mosquitoes, my chickens sure failed on that little benefit.

They're all the same guy. He sells meat chicks for 1.00 each if you buy some ridiculous amount like 1000, and grossly overpriced Easter Egger chicks claiming they're city-friendly mutes, and pot seeds,. He pops up every once in a while and we all have a laugh, then feel bad for laughing because he's clearly not all there upstairs LOL
Happy, the NORMAL price of EE chicks depend on where you are (demand) and time of year, and whether private sale or auction. Anywhere from 1-10 dollars for day olds is the prices I have seen. The high end is usually for Ameraucanas with minor faults (thus making them EEs instead) that may still be breedable--like silver leakage, and too high a price for day-olds IMO, but you can get some pretty fabulous adult birds for less than $50. Guy is out to lunch.

Yes, WWW is right, he is out to lunch...but the entertainment value we get from time to time is priceless. (And the thought that there must be someone who bought something from him at those prices...well....that would be a Trump voter if we lived down there.)

There is a farm down in Florida...Greenfire Farms...they charge outrageous prices for extremely rare breeds. They spend big bucks legally importing these rare breeds from Europe and elsewhere, and I am sure they have a very diligent breeding program so those prices make sense.
If the guy in Hamilton gets those prices...good for him.

His adults are listed at $150 for rooster/ $100 for hen. I read his ad 3 times thinking I was missing something.
