You know your fence is working when......

Post by la-chicken » Sun Jul 31, 2016 10:56 pm

You know your electric poultry netting is working when........... a skunk tries to bite his way but the 1.5J bolt kills him.
I know my net fence is a hot one....but not this hot!

Love my fence and hate skunks!
Win , win for me but the stink not so much.

Wow That's a hot fence, I wouldn't want to touch that one! We used to dare each other as kids to touch it! LOL

So the skunk bit the fence; the electricity pulsing kept his mouth muscles closed; and he got stuck there until the repeated electrical shocks shut down his heart.

Fyi: if you ever touch a wire to check if its hot...use the back of your hand. Electricity will fire up the muscles in your hand and it will clench your fist. If you touch a hot wire with the front of your hand it will clench around the wire.

Oh yes. I have touched this fence a couple of times.
My arm brushed it once.
When the current wasn't working,I was moving the netting around to see what was going on. Snap!!! hands flews off, heart still beating.
and went and turned off the power........and finished the job.

Why do I have so many Joules pulsating? To keep Predators out!

High voltage and low watts or amps gives a shock that is non lethal. The fence charger needs more power if it is to keep charge on a long distance fence line the longer the line the more power you need.

coons work too. Wish all of them were this stupid.

I actually had to take a picture of this idiot with kids on my bus.... as I wasn't near this spot when not on my run. I got a big kick out of it.
