JiMMY's Food Price Hike.... tonight

Seriously afraid to watch the Fish part, it's more and more difficult to find good quality fish that's not farmed, and my last check at the grocery store, the frozen fish all came from India.

OC..you ever notice all the frozen fish smells of chlorine...i know that they are paranoid about pathogens but really?...

Well, if they all come from India, they may just as well be washed in Chlorine. ;(
I only buy frozen Scallops from Nova Scotia, can't really get past the "Yuk" factor of the other stuff.
Friend of mine complained to me (I seem to be the complaint department when it comes to food) that she just threw out a very expensive "Organic chicken" because it smelled like fish.
Nothing really surprises me much anymore, purchased "reduced price" Kale for chickens, tightly wrapped in ClingWrap and when opened, smells like fish.
Funny that you mentioned Chlorine, last couple of time we bought raspberries, they looked like they were either irradiated or washed with chlorine, there was an odd matte look to them, that's when I decided I can live without raspberries.
Not a good situation all around.

Not sure if anybody saw it, I found it really ironic that it mentioned the farmed fish possibly catching sea lice from the wild fish, and nary a mention of the wild fish being compromised by fish farms. ;(
