News topic on the BBC saying a study in Africa showed that keeping a chicken in a cage at the end of your bed kept the mosquito's away. Any one else heard of this?

Hmmm I tried KFC one time at the head of my bed but it didn't last the night .

That's interesting. But a chicken in a cage isn't going to get all the mosquitos. But I get the concept for sure.

Yes, it was on CBC last night "as it happens".
The species of mosquito that transmits malaria does not bite chickens so chicken pheromones repel these mosquitoes.

Well if I lived there I'd have a chicken at the end of my bed, if it keeps away malaria it's worth it.
