Wow, is it ever hot out. It's 33 here feeling like 40 and more to come for the next few days. Heat warning in effect. I have a difficult time handling this heat and humidity. I don't know how anyone can work outdoors in this. Prime conditions for some wicked weather to develop. No cooking indoors. I planned ahead the last couple of days for our food. Made potato salad and chicken caesar salad. I was going to make burgers outside, but I don't think I even feel like cooking outside. Have to have lots of cold drinks and more cold drinks!

I'm with you muffin57. This heat has a direct drain on my energy. I am not a summer person and although I dislike heat a lot, what I really can't handle is humidity. It sinks my battleship.

Personally I can't wait for big bulky sweater for walks, and then snow falling. Favourite! Crisp and cold. Plus I love the heat from the fireplace. And winter is just cosy. And no mosquitos or deer flies. Yup. Winter wins!

right before all this crazy heat came a couple weeks ago I put AC in my shop with a high velocity fan blowing right on my chair. LOL. 3 days later I put one in the living room of the house, combined with the blower circulating around the house it remains right around 80ºF which is such a relief when you come inside. windows open upstairs to let the heat out. I think were doing alright. I find I just have to pace myself and take frequent breaks. heck I sweat in the middle of winter freezing my beard solid. LOL. I do love summer and dont mind the heat at all but man those friggin mosquitoes!!!!!

Kenya I was expecting the same.... we were in a drought for quite some time. I couldnt figure it out.... where the heck are they all coming from? and then it dawned on me oh a couple days ago. all around us, on pretty much every road has irrigation ditches and every 4th field or so is tomatoes or peppers. besides the wheat fields which were completly dry and are now harvested you wouldnt even know there was a drought around us. at night you cant go outside without 30% deet on and if you look at the screen on a window its covered in mosquitoes. barn swallows have a great time around here but they dont put a dent in them at all.

Well, I'm not really a fan of winter either, but good time to think about cold now. An air conditioner would be nice to be able to function, but I don't like it when they are run too cold. Just enough to take the edge off. I have my fan going full blast. We had a thunder storm here on Sunday, lots of rain and it screwed the router for my computer. I didn't get my electronics turned off and unplugged fast enough. This happened a few years ago too, so ever since, I also, unplug my phone line. We had a power outage for about 4-5 hours. My husband was home though, so he got the solar panels out to run the incubator. With all the rain here we have been having we have the mosquitos too, but not that bad. I just hope we are not going to have more severe weather, especially tornadoes. It sure looked like we were going to have one on Sunday. I'll put up with the heat over tornadoes.
