I see someone locally selling "farm fresh eggs" with delivery - are you allowed to do this? I thought "farm gate sales" rule applied to eggs.

Individual county health departments get involved on eggs other than chicken for selling eating eggs past farm gate . . I've done the research before & not gonna get into wrong or right . Yu takes your chances with the law , ignorance is not a excuse . . Luck
Answer is no on duck or other eating eggs , unless your set up OKd by the county health department your selling in , hatching eggs ok .
If you get your chicken eggs graded & inspected you can also sell / deliver um off farm . There's one in Strathroy , Frisa Family Farms

technically no and your right. but one thing id like to add is that in Canada the legal definition of an egg is one that was laid by a chicken, so in other words the law only applies to chicken eggs. seems silly doesn't it?

Well, I personally do think it's a dumb law and I won't be ratting them out to anyone.. However, was curious. So you could legally sell and deliver duck eggs?

I'm glad to finally have my own fresh eggs. I missed the days of being able to purchase fresh unpasteurized cow's milk, although I can no longer have dairy. I sometimes wonder if I could tolerate unpasteurized milk. I don't like what's been done to our food. All these food allergies now. Yes, it's a shame that we have to be dictated to. It should be my choice.
