Poor dears. It's a scary thing when mama says, "My work is done here ... you're on your own.". How old are they now?

SO today will be more cage training for the turkeys. They all walk sweetly in for their apple but why do I think it won't be this easy Friday morning? Young males seem more motivated by the food than the old hens - why am I not surprised!

Good luck KB!

I'm about to leave for work but I gotta show you a tidbit I've been working on.... a finch cage built cabinetry style, courtesy of the burn pile at work! It turned out great! More to come...

Have a great day all!

Good morning,
Surveyed the damage after the wind storm, triple oak by the creek is now only double and blocking two of my dog walking paths.
Found two guys at the back "just looking", what is it with people needing to look in other peoples back yards?
Always thought if I was rich I would like a giant piece of land, but suspect I would spend all my time patrolling it with a dog and a gun.
Nice work Al, pretty fancy digs for a small birdie :)

Wow oc....thats a big tree.....firewood anyways. And nothing was around to get damaged!! Yeah....people can be obnoxious!!!
Last day of a few holidays for me. Need to move hay, and get the walnuts up out of the paddock...wind sure spread them a long way from the trees this year. Got the one paddock raked yesterday. Next paddock today. Almost have the bathroom ready for painting...my big project for the next little while. Just need to move the laundry machines out of the way and finish sanding the fixed nail pops....then its time....lol. yes i have a drop sheet. But i need to find the step ladder so i can reach to cut everything in. At least it keeps my mind of the desire to go deer hunting.....
but first things first. Horses are standing staring at the house...the hay is "low"....its not really gone gone....but the tasty bits are gone. And of course they will starve in 10 minutes or less....lol
And hubby is on strike....not sure either of us are happy about the raw deal for the students. We are both teachers and i feel really badly for the students...i know he does too. I hope it is short....sigh. no damage here from the wind thankfully it sure seems worse east of us! Well, better get going on the rest of my last day of holidays....gets busy after that W thing starts again!!
