As the header suggests, I'm curious as to why the format was changed here...the various posts merely update in the date and time and poster but not with the newest responses taking over top spot in the forum chronologically....now i find i have to read down the list on the right side to see if the posts have been added to and by whom and at what time just to see if I've read them already..the way it was before , I found easier to deal with...and the 'newest posts' and other items disappeared off the quick links...I appreciate all you folks do here and I'm not that much of a complainer but I found it easier to navigate the other way..just sayin'... :running-chicken:

Tom,
I have added a sorting feature where everyone can sort the posts themselves. And most forums the user default setting takes precedence over me forcing a certain order. Notable exception is the "Events" forum. There I force an alphabetic order by topic to make the sorting correct by date.

This add on gave you an additional setting in the UCP. And it looks like an easy setting change will fix it for you.

The yellow highlights are new and you see my setting copied here. It sounds like your first problem can be solved by changing the second sorting to "decending" as well. Let me know if that didn't do it.

The menu was changed mainly for smartphone users (25% of us!) They had to content with small buttons (and fat fingers  ). To make it easier on them, we have moved those items to the top. And it removes one click, so it's actually quicker.

No worries about "complaining"! I like feedback. And only when I get it, can I look to improve. Nothing worse than a nerd in isolation thinking "this should be better".....

Personally, now that I'm used to it, I prefer the new format. It didn't take me long to figure it out, and I love the one-click buttons on the top right. Much easier. Thanks!

I also prefer the new format. I find it quicker. However I have over 800 unread posts and oddly enough it stresses me out . I can't keep up

I'm loving the new format. I use my phone and the changes are helping me get caught up on all the posts. 258 threads (2670 posts) to go. Will be done before the picnic.
Thanks for the updates.
