Premier 1 Supplies Order

Post by JimW » Sun Dec 20, 2015 12:40 am

Anyone every ordered from Premier 1 Supplies in the USA?

https://www.premier1supplies.com/

I am really liking the design and price of their heating plates for brooders and some of their other products.

Too bad the Cdn. $$ is worth so little again. Is it still worth getting US stuff?

If memory serves, there was a thread on PoultrySwapOntario quite a while back about them being a good source for electrical fencing products. I can't comment on the quality of their products personally though, because I've never ordered from them. I've never heard anything negative about the company, just positive reviews.

Depends on what your are buying.

I am looking at Premier 1 Heating Plates for brooders, similar to Brinsea Ecoglow Brooder Heaters.

Brinsea has 2 models of brooder heaters the Eco 20 (20 watts) which costs $116 CAD delivered and the Eco 50 (50 watts) which costs $222 CAD delivered.

Premier has 2 similar sized "heating plates" their small is 22 watts and their large is 66 watts. If I use an exchange rate of 1.35 plus include HST, they have free shipping in the USA, so I ship to my mailbox in NY State, $10 in gas to drive to pick up in NY....

Small one costs around $81 CAD and large one would cost around $121 CAD, so still a big saving.

Oh...and not a single case of pasty butt. And i can tuck the edge of the waterer under and put a blanket over the brooder in tha barn on cold nights and the water stays thawed

Ya I hear you about birds sitting on top. I had an older IR panel heater I had for reptiles I used for quail this past spring and they always got up on top of the panel. Unfortunately it was old and does not seems to be producing much heat, so I want to get a new panel heatr or 2, instead of using light bulbs for heat.

The brooder heater Premier 1 sells you can buy a domed cover to keep the birds off of it.
