Girls Weekend

My Hunter Ed teacher sent me this. It would be wonderful to be able to make This happen. Looks perfect.

Has anyone ever done one of these weekends?

OFAH is a good org (although I, and many others, had an issue with them back in the C-68 days). If they are arranging this, it should be worth the price of admission.

I like their free $ 5 million dollars liability , hunting , fishing , shooting etc insurance which a lot of private hunting areas & conservation areas demand you carry proof of your own to hunt their land or OFAH . That women's only deal has been around for a while . I hear pretty good if your a joiner . I get the Ontario Outdoor Magazine along with my membership . I feel as a whole can't please all but do a good job . Luck

I used to instruct on the Becoming an Outdoorswoman they held in Dorset. I taught shotgun shooting. Best part was to see the ladies smash skeet targets and the fun they got out of it! (and in competitive skeet we are still Ladies an I'm OK with that).

It's a great weekend if you're even remotely interested in the outdoors. I was one of the fishing instructors last year and the participants all had a blast. Many women go back year after year and I know many who have made great friends and now fish and hunt together. The survival skills portion of the weekend was cause for some great stories. The only downside for me was having to be away from home for a whole weekend. I spent a lot of time texting back home and looking at pictures of the chickens!
