Post by Arwen.26 » Wed May 18, 2016 4:30 pm

Hi everyone!...just wondering when you would suggest putting the chick's on pine shavings....they are almost 6 days old and right now I have shavings covered with paper towels...any opinions? Thanks

I pull the paper towel out once its soiled pretty bad and have the fresh shavings under it. I dont always cover the entire floor with paper towel either. sometimes I just use it under the feeder and cover it with feed. I just use the paper towel so that the chicks can figure out what and where the food is... so ya you can remove it.

I never use anything on top of shavings, so you are safe for sure! :)
We are going to have to see some of those babies, any pictures?
