Re: Good Morning!
Good morning!
Right after the new submersible was installed the deluge came.
Now there is water everywhere, sump pump is running nonstop and the front lawn is squishy, figures.
Netting installed over "Small Run", so it's going to be first outing day for the chicks, not that there is any grass to speak of, so garden greenery delivery will have to be started, wish the garden was closer to the bar, I think I need a drone.
Have a safe one.

Re: Good Morning!
I have looked for it too, will try again :)
Found it...
WLLady quote.....
@WLLady
When they feather out i would be interested to see if any look "lemon" aka gold leakage in the white.

If not then YAY!!! If theres no gold in the girls you should get what you want.
**********************************************************************************************
The breeding is Columbian Cockerel over Black hens (the Black hens are from Columbian male over Blue hens)
They are 7 weeks old now and there is no lemon leakage, in the Columbians.... not yet anyway

and only white leakage in small portion of the Black chicks.

"Starburst"...I like that name, OC. Though it makes me think of Star Trek, and aerobatics, because I am a huge dork.

Re: Good Morning!
OC I don’t know what a Freudian slip is . I’ve seen silk ones , cotton ones , flannel ones even burlap ones . Many colours , some frilly some not , some long some short but I dare say to my knowledge none was Freudian . Hmmm never to old to learn tho . Rock on

Re: Good Morning!
Thats the one when your subconscious lets something slip, (something you wouldn't be willing to admit voluntarily) i.e. bar instead of barn.

Re: Good Morning!
hi everyone!
eventful 2 days. unfortunately.
so....all but one of the chickens are fine. i had to put one old girl down last night....she'd been wrestling with vent gleet and other assorted infections for about 3 months and then her comb went purple about a week ago...and last night i found her sleeping in the corner of the boxes that my greenhouse parts came in, so i did the deed. in other news i had a fast emergency trip to the dentist following a blunt object interception....ha ha. an aluminum trim piece let loose from the greenhouse while i was installing it, and smashed me bad....so i have 3 cracked teeth, a split lip and one heck of a headache....sigh. not fun. i think i got the blood out of my tank top....interesting. apparently a couple more days to go on the headache. and i can't even blame my back surgery or anything....it is just a compression fit trim piece that holds in the lexan, and the other 11 installed without an issue, and this one decided it was not going to stay put and flew out just as i was in the process of getting the bolts in....ah well. serves me right for building my own greenhouse!!!
i would totally vote for a bar in the chicken coop. and another in the house. and maybe one in the barn for the horses. and while my greenhouse is trying to kill me one in there too-so at least i'll go out happy.
my mare is finally breathing better and being weaned off the steroids. nothing quite like a 2000 pound horse begging for drugs...and the other 2000 pound horse wondering why he's not getting any of that since she likes that so much.....so i bribe with oats. i'm a bad person i know. oh well. don't care.
i'm starting to think this week that if the greenhouse doesn't do it, one of the horses might....gotta get this steroid tapered down fast....lol
i am looking forward to a quieter weekend. PLEASE!!!!!!
