It's day 23 with no rain, but who's counting. Things are pretty dry out there. We've turned off the water softener and have started doing laundry in town! What a pain! I loaded up 6 5 gallon water jugs yesterday, we are pouring them into our big trees.......anyone have a sure fire way for it to rain...start doing it pls.

Well after a few last minute “technical” difficulties we are on our way to New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

Oh ya an update to my chest pains, ecg.... I finally got a Nuclear Stress Test booked for August 21st, so hopefully I will find out what is going on.

I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful summer day.

I did buy one this past weekend. I have also been picking up "priced for quick sale" cucumbers for the birds, which they appreciate. Frozen water bottles have been going into the waterers daily all of last week/weekend, and I bought some extra flat freezer packs from Dollarama for the quail, so that they can be switched out several times a day. During the hottest part of the day they will stand on the freezer packs with beaks open, panting, then within a minute their beaks are closed and their body language says, "aaaah, now that's better". The chickens haven't figured them out yet.
