Interesting you mention Spanish Flu @ross . That was spread aboard troop ships much like the cruise ships. Although it hit young "healthy" adults I would imagine that after a war that immune systems would be lowered?

I'm just thankful it wasn't started from poultry. I'm sure by now there would be almost no birds left anywhere. They would seize every small flock and destroy them.
I wonder if it would have come from dogs if they would treat that equally harsh?

Well I have informed my employer that I will not be attending work again until further notice. If they're not going to close their doors to the public then I will close mine. I've witnessed the bad side of humanity time and time again the past few days. I can't keep being part of the problem.

It sounds to me like you have made the best decision for your circumstances, @Happy . Good for you. Unfortunately, there are people out there who are not community-minded or concerned about anyone except themselves. I witnessed too many examples of bad behaviour early last week before we pretty much went into self-isolation, so I can only imagine the number of incidents of shameful human behaviour that you have had to deal with, working in the retail environment.

Maybe a good thing.... but..... then again maybe a very bad thing........
Italy just released that 99% of the deaths had pre-existing conditions. Stats like this affect how healthy humans react. for good or bad.

This Joe Rogan podcast is excellent (you can hear it as a sound file somewhere and as a youtube here. Listen to the first 20 mins at least (or the whole 90 mins).

I just went on the Performance Poultry website to check to see if they had released any info and found out they have cancelled all hatch dates for the 2020 season....I did not receive an email notification. I have emailed them to see how they will be handling refunds. oh and hello all...long time no chat.
