Tom!! WTF. You're fired. I'll try and find some parks later this evening and post them up. Bellwood is quite far for easterners and I'd like to provide some other options.

Then poll everyone.

Please look back later tonight or tomorrow and have a boo! I would like to get it sorted as well, some people need to book the time off work, I'll be booking a mini-vacation if I like the area .. So once we get a spot sorted we'll nail down a date.

Cheers!!

Oh thats always nice...looking for EI on a sunday morning first thing...lol...anyway...there are a few i thought about...provincial parks all...Emily Park just west of Peterborough on the Trent-Severn...Balsam Lake Park a little north west of Emily... Ferris Park a bit north west of Belleville near Cambellford...of course Sandbanks....Mark S. Burnham Park near Peterborough....those are a few that are middish way and a little. above TO to avoid going thru for the most part..aside from Sandbanks of course...as far as I'm concerned anything will work..I'm up for meeting all you folks anywhere you choose....

I'm still going to vote for me (no entrance/parking fee, no burn ban :D) but I'd like to submit Willow Beach and Holmes Point for your consideration, both on Lake Simcoe. I admit to being biased, I love that lake and am always looking for a valid excuse to go that far :)

Willow Beach Conservation
Sutton (Georgina - Lake Simcoe)
Swimming and picnic area - also areas for bbq's and cover in case it rains. I don't see a boat launch. Has flush toilets and more.

Emily Park
Kawartha Lakes
Swimming (barrier free), boat launch, flush toilets, picnic area, cover, BBQ camping on site

Holmes Point
Not much info that I can see on the site

Balsam Lake
Kirkfield
Swimming, boat launch, can reserve picnic area (except holiday weekends)

I don't have first hand knowledge about the other sites that SM listed, but Emily has 2 separate beaches, canoe rentals and a tuck shop that has most of the essentials including ice.

Bumping this up ... Please have a look at some of the options...if you have a preference please comment. But I'd like to get a poll going and hopefully everyone will weigh in and also a date preference poll.
