all i can say is if you use your GPS to get there, make sure you veer to the right when the road splits....because the GPS doesn't know about the part that veers to the right....LOL. mine showed me that we were going to drive into a field off the road....so i followed Jan's directions of "stay right when the road splits" and viola, found it first time!

We all need to know where you live teehee!
That might be helpful lmao!
My address is --------------------------. I'm about 20 minutes from Brockville, 20 from Smith's Falls, 35 minutes from Kemptville and about an hour and 20 minutes from Ottawa or Kingston. Yes, I measure distance in driving minutes LOL. Best way to get here depends on where you're coming from, if anyone would like detailed directions please PM! GPS systems and even Goggle Maps tend to seem to lead people down the garden path, especially through Smith's falls. I'll give you guys my cell# too, so I can direct that way if necessary.
WWW, please send instructions/address and cell number only through PM!
Remember we have ~1500 readers and only 500 are registered. Of those only a few come. No need to announce to the world where you live.

If the number of pm's is too much, we are glad to help.

poultry_admin wrote:QR_BBPOST Hello All,
I think it's good to go public now.

Can everyone coming please fill out the form to the best of their knowledge?

Since it's still a month out, things might change with your plan. If so, please just fill it out and submit again.

Thanks!

If you are interested in what people are bringing to make sure there is no duplication, have a look at this spreadsheet.
Bump my own to help with the planning.

So somehow WWW needs to know who is coming to have the plan firmed up. Don't want to plan for 40 and 5 show or plan for 5 and 40 show???
You have 2 ways to let her know:
- fill in the form
- send a pm to her

PLEASE RSVP by July 17th!

If she has heard from you, you will soon after see a new topic: "Piknik-2016 organization" with the address, directions and other important info on the forum (down with the "suggestions").

I'm OK with plastic cutlery, bamboo costs too much LMAO I'll have lots of extras as well.

So my wife has organized a garden party for my mother here on the Saturday and told me the date after it was set up. Relatives from afar (most of which are elderly) will arrive for 11am so I will stay for their arrival and head to the Piknik after lunch so my eta is 3pm. I figured that to be the best compromise I can do. Given that I volunteered to run some pellet gun shooting, i figured we can set up and start plinking at 4 or 5pm. I'll coordinate with kdms and www and may visit the site ahead of time to plan it out properly (no doubt www has enough to do).

Broccoli salad also has sunflower seeds.

3 PM is perfect, If it's ok with everyone, I'm thinking that might be the best time for people to start trickling in anyway--enough time before supper to organize food storage and set up, hob nob and talk chicken, and shoot at things LOL. Speaking of which, I have an open field that's perfect and can set up round bales as backstops--what to use for target? Paper? Cardboard?

make sure that you set up your round bales so that you are shooting into the side that has the balewrap! not through the middle of the bales.....ammo and arrows go right through bales - even the hard core bales -when shot at from the flat side LOL. don't ask. although i will say that we spent many hours looking for the bolt from someone's high velocity crossbow one year, shot right through the bale...lol.
you guys are going to have a great time!!!!! sorry we can't make it....at least 6 hours one way....and farm sitting at the same time....doesn't work....sigh
