Have a safe one!
You have to keep the Columbian type one. They're all so beautiful!

If you keep your trigger finger straight you cannot put it in the trigger guard accidentally. We were teaching the neighbours boy and he could NOT keep his finger off the trigger so we taped a popscicle stick to his finger. He got the point and practiced like that. Lol. He was 13 and got 100 %...

The coyotes eating your corn. They probably do. But jumping and pounding like that, I have had them on hay swaths, and they are catching and eating mice. I like them when they do that and not after my chickens or goats. I do shoot one or two a year just to keep them respectful.

And thanks for all your work on this site. I, for one much appreciate.

Well back in the house for lunch, operation "Golden Girls" was a success and while at the barn helped another little brute enter the world. Life is good!

So it has gotten to the point that it is like having a pet weasel that we feed every night. Hubby is taking it personally.

Saw weasel tracks this am in the new snow. Bought trap and set it this pm.
Little Muppet is doing much better, eating his special food well and won't stay in the cozy room to rest up. So much brighter with the abscess and rotten teeth gone.
One of the youngest pullets gave me her first egg today (22 weeks). I was watching because she's been throwing herself at Lucky shamelessly the last few days LOL!

Yes Ross we have two or three of the tunnel traps. Hubby has even been watching U tube videos how to bait and set them up. Our ninja weasel goes in steps over the trap for the meat at the back. and leaves again with out triggering it. Starting baiting trap as well as leaving meat at the back. One he triggers and eats the bait. one he just takes the meat at the back. Hubby even left the pieces of beaver on a piece of tin foil at the back. Tin foil was pulled out, trap not triggered. Tested the traps and they are very sensitive and snapping when we touch it. it's actually getting kind of funny to watch poor hubby's reaction every morning..
