There was a story not too long ago on a young woman with scolioses and a photo of her very much distorted spine and shoulder blades not really anywhere where they should have been, and now after going thru the fusion she has a career as a fashion model!!!
That may not be your goal of career change exactly,
but still pretty good outcome.BTW, Kathy the incision will be all but gone in a year or two. :)
