Good Morning - 2023
Re: Good Morning - 2023
Will miss it too. It has been a wonderful resource and also a nice place to socialize on many favourite things.

Maybe a group for the "survivors" on a platform that is free and doesnt require maintenance Eg What's App, Signal, Facebook? What will happen to all the info on the forum?

Re: Good Morning - 2023
We forgot to close the coop one day and the next morning I found a rooster and two hens on a perch in the coop, 6 lying in little depressions in the snow scattered around the coop, and two came walking up from down the hill about 50 m away. The next day there were only 8 in the coop. I found 3 in a tree (I had to get a ladder to get them and maybe it wasn't the safest thing to do in the winter on a slope. Lol) ànd one on the pergola. I thought it would a good idea to lock them in the coop for a few days and when I let them free range again the three went into the tree and one on the pergola again. I'm wondering what I should do now? Have they forgotten that they need to go into the coop every night?

Sorry; I haven't been on in a while. It's Winter, and I've just been looking after my birds, collecting eggs, etc. And I have the Winter to get some sewing done.

Thanks everyone, its been good, but yeah, probably time. I am getting to dislike most of the world more and more. Except for people like here. Curmudgeon is the right word.

I will certainly miss this site if it goes, and all the contributors. It's been fun!
I guess we could always have a private facebook page as a way of keeping in touch, but it certainly wouldn't be as good, and there would be no files or the ability to look things up.
One of the good things about FB is that new messages pop up on the feed, so you don't miss them (unless you are subscribed to too many sites and get bogged down.....).

They may be scared if there was something in the coop that scared them.lolotsung wrote: ↑Sun Feb 12, 2023 10:27 amWe forgot to close the coop one day and the next morning I found a rooster and two hens on a perch in the coop, 6 lying in little depressions in the snow scattered around the coop, and two came walking up from down the hill about 50 m away.
