Well, i now have a duck explosion. literally. 20 babies at 2 weeks old. 4 4 month olds. 1 3 month old. 9 1 month olds. and at least 11 day olds. all muscovies. so if anyone has ever wanted muscovies i will discount large orders LOL
Was supposed to have today off, working tomorrow, but that seems to have developed into a work from home day today and then also working tomorrow. So i will grab another day in holidays somewhere down the line.
We finally have gotten a few little rains in between the big rains the last 2 weeks. The corn is FINALLY growing and starting to tassle. we were so close to losing the crop...some is stunted, but looks like it will recover with time.
Went outside last night and was severely disappointed with the neowise comet. It was infinitely brighter and easier to see and photograph last week! we could still see it with the binoculars, but the show was much better a few days ago. glad i got to see it, because i'm pretty sure i do not want to be around to see it the next time it's around! haha i sure hope i'm not here in 6000 years. because that would be the ultimate stuck in a rut ever.....
was hoping to get to the feed store today, and get the barn cleaned out. set up a pile of rat traps....and also did end up putting poison down....sigh. hate doing that. keeping an eye on the cats but the poison was well out of reach, and hopefully the rats will be too when they die. will need to do a big clean out and sweeping from all the rat
