You are definitely not alone,
Since our chickens must be babysat when free range, I am on my way to keep them company with a hot cup of coffee wearing winter coat and contemplating ear muffs.
Seriously!

The only good thing about this weather is the wonderful daffodil season I'm having here!

I'm running out of wood. I have about 15 logs left so we are only putting the fire on at night and once the log is done we aren't putting anymore in the stove. Usually I have a 1/2 or 3/4 of a cord left from my 3 bush cords. WOW it's cold!

The daffodils and tulips are doing amazing this year! i actually have tulips in bloom while my plum trees are blooming.....go figure. And no one can say we didn't have a spring....lol. i am a little tired of the rain-but i don't want snow! so...i'll take it! but last year at this time the corn was up here. ha ha. we could lose tractors forever right now in the muck!

oh yes, last time i was out the blackflies were in full force. one added bonus was if i wasn't in the woods the wind was cold enough and strong enough the blackflies retreated back to the woods! LOL
