good morning all! its not raining here anymore and looking at the radar it looks like its finally over, in an hour or so it should be done yourway as well Ross.

man is the ground ever water logged, I hope everyone and their stuff is ok. were perfectly fine here, the duck pond and its overflow is still working well otherwise I'm sure it would be a flooded mess out there.

have a great day all!

Well stopped raining here for the time being, a bit more to come.

Today is hatching day for my chocolate and Sweet Grass turkey eggs shipped from BC. 18 of 23 eggs made it to lock down, would have been 19 but I cracked one going from incubator to hatcher. Idiot!! Two pipped so far, hoping for a good hatch, to be honest with my luck hatching I will be happy with anything hatching.

On another stupid note I had to stop the auto turner on the Sportsman incubator to put new eggs in... forgot to turn it back on, so it was off for a day and a half, guess will see what the results are in a few weeks. Idiot move number two. Sign on front of the incubator... Check the Auto turner Idiot!!!

Going to pick up my boat from having spring tune up!!!

Later

Ha! Ha! Ross. My Summer doesn't like the rain either but puddles are another story.

Good day!

Paula... sorry about your girl..... I know how it hurts, and how much you will miss her.

Beautiful filly Dean... and nice foals lately!

Its raining here. Again. So far, we have had 2 inches... but haven't looked since chore time last night. Hubby went out to check the cows before he walks to the end of the lane for his paper, and when he got back, I asked... "any calves'? Nope was his answer. Well, there were two. Both heifers.

We've had 14 calves so far. 10 heifers. Wonder why hatching chickens can't be like that, lol.

The ground is soggy soggy. I cut grass on the nice sunny day before THIS rain, and right out front, on a DRY piece of ground... the wheels of the mower were wet... and left slight muddy prints. It will be a while before we get any sort of a crop or garden in the ground!!

But I like the fact that the water table is over flowing.... and the lake is at its highest now!!

Wonder if things will get dry like last year, this summer. Hope not.
