Yes we had one expérience like that with a kijiji user, we waited for them at a sideroad and they never showed. They probably did that with lots of people laughing at how gullible we are.

Well my mystery was solved last night. I hadenough room in the bator to separate each egg type....and one of my lines that i just got last year has at least 4 e locus alleles different...E e+ ER and eb judging from the down colour and pattern. Not impressed.
At least i know now....they lay like crazy so they will make good layers but out of the breeding program post haste. Too bad because the parent birds look great....already contacted people that got my first set of chicks. There are sales coming up and if anyone wants a white bird with black flecks that lays white...lol

White with black flecks, sound beautiful to me, white egg layers to boot, they sound nice. You'll still be able to sell them just not as EOs. Have any pictures, not that I want any just no room.

We just lost flashing off the house again. The east wind out here is nuts. Not freezing rain yet....all the animals are totally squirrelly...cats are clingy dog wants to crawl into the fireplace all the birds are up on the roosts and the turkeys are laying on poults in the corner talking to each other....
My patio door is leaking.
Swept out the loft of the barn and the stairs....all nice and clean and then moved the atv and now theres chunks of mud all over the nice swept floor. Something to do later. And had a group of hunters pop in to say thanks for etting them hunt our land last fall and ask for permission foe turkey. We let them on each year-nice guys no problem. They brought a bottle of vqa ont wine from a winery i havenever heard of-sprucewood shores-so i will have to look it up amd see where they are. Getting blankets out for the incubator in case we lose power tonight....the forecast here is 3 cm of freezing rain tonight. I guess it is already miserable out near hamilton. Stay safe everyone.

Tom i will likely grow these guys out since i am really curious to see how they feather in to get some clues on how to breed back to good birds.....hopefully theres some girls....and i am sure there are more to hatch because theres more in the bator lol.

2:34 pm and eerily quiet in the Ottawa Valley: no snow, no rain, just a "blow through your clothes" damp and wind

(now that typed that watch us get whacked)

2:37 pm quiet here too, few snow "showers" come and gone, I think it's going to miss us. ;)
