I think all the robins hang out here in Prince Edward County - I keep driving through flocks of them!

I'll send them your way....

Robins???
Haven't seen even one, all I got is this by the bird feeder, only found it because crows were calling an alarm, still had hard time finding it, what a camouflage!

Good Morning!

Good morning everyone!!

Woke up feeling like spring is here lol. I am so going to open the house up to get some air through and let the hatch of cluster flies out. What exactly is the role of a cluster fly??!! Its so warm! The barn is opened up wide and in a little bit after the dog is out and back in i will be letting the turkeys out to spend some time outside. Took a half hour and harasses the starlings and sparrows in the barn with my pea shooter. If nothing else it is fun for me.

Had a trip to london yesterday for paperwork at the doctors office and dropping off forms to my workplace...then had dinner out - novelty!! It actually was really nice! We havent had the opportunity or ability to go out much since december. I get tired of my own cooking i must admit. And my hubby is working really hard to keep this place going while i am out of the game so....it was a nice relaxed dinner. Funny-calorie counts are now on the menus....how absolutely irritating! If i am going out for dinner that is the last thing i want to see!!! I already will skip lunch so i can have what i want, but then to see 1600 calories on that salad.....holy!!! Sigh. We had a good laugh over that. And then i ordered what i wanted. ☺

We were also going to try to get to one of the stores we need to get a new bed....for the first time in forever...i was game but hubby said...um...nope...headed home...we can go sometime later....and it was a good call because half way home i started feeling really tired and sore...guess he can see it before i feel it...good call DH!!!

My daffodils are up 4 inches. And theres little green spikes starting in the grass here. I just cannot believe this is spring....sorry. no robins. Huge flocks of geese going over yesterday evening though....headed mostly north (kinda north westish).

Found the one turkey nest box i made last year...got thatvin with the one set of turkeys. Need to eventually make another....like soon....as soon as that first turkey egg happens i will set up my first hatch. So hopefully i will have some chicks and poults on the ground for the wyoming sale (which i am hoping to attend).
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!

I am loving this weather but refuse to believe that old man winter is finished with us. I've been pulled into that pipe dream before! 10 degrees here right now and my old girls who haven't laid since October just started up in the past couple days. So happy to hear their egg songs back. The old ones sound like they are leading a parade down main Street Disney World lol. It's funny they will only sing for each other, not any of the other birds added after. Speaking of which...This is fertile isn't it? It's one of the old bitties and I'm shocked because she beats both roosters up. Never seen a fertile egg from her.

Cluster flies, ahhhhhhhhh! I have never seen so many as this year and they get into EVERY thing. We always had them but this year is like a plague of the stupid things. Don't let them out! There purpose is to go out and KILL earthworms!!!! They lay their eggs at the breathing holes of the earthworms and when the worm comes up, the eggs stick on and the poor worm is eaten alive. That's why on a sunny spring day you will see them covering the ground. So I protect our little earthworm friends lol.

Lol, I think my vacuum has gained ten pounds this winter from sucking up flies. I couldn't take it anymore so I bought a bunch of those sticky tapes and leave certain lights on in the evening to get them, I hand three around the lights. Now they are really coming out because of the warm weather.
