Good Morning!

Post by Ontario Chick » Wed Feb 15, 2017 9:53 am

Good morning,
Snowed in a bit more, keep watching reports from East coast to feel better.
Laying is increasing in leaps and bounds, it's so nice not to have count if there is enough eggs for cooking. ;)
Thank you to Kenya and Al for posting all the show pictures. Got myself a mug of coffee and studied them all, felt like I spent a pleasant morning at a poultry show. :)
Have a safe one!

A bright sunny morning here despite the forecast for rain! How I love this time of year as the days get longer and the sun warmer!

Spring must be getting closer, have been seeing lots of robins flying around too and thinking I should get out the maple syrup supplies and tap the few trees we have by the house.

Oh I wish I could see some Robins! I'm over winter although I will say it hasn't been a horrible one as compared to the norm. This pic is my measuring stick. It's the sign at the end of my road. When I can't see it at all it's been a heavy snow winter. I snapped this yesterday but we did get more snow last night. It's measuring a "slightly lighter than normal" winter for this area.

:) I measure by my stone bench, some years I don't see it until March,
this year it was showing " more or less " most of the time, so slightly lower here also, but highest this winter so far.
Probably would be a bit higher if it hadn't warmed up couple of times.

Lizzie just got discharged and we're on our way home!!! 11 days in the hospital... gastritis, functional dyspepsia and gastro paresis. Shes celiac and may have been contaminated which triggered all this.

shes soo much better now but lost a lot of weight and strength. still recovering and has to take it very easy.

have a great dall all! we sure are!!!

Here's hoping for Lizzie's speedy recovery, which will probably happen much faster now that she is back home.
Hubby has gastro paresis too - not fun. It's not uncommon for diabetics to develop it. Good that Lizzie was diagnosed in the early stages.
