Good Morning!

Post by Home Grown Poultry » Wed Feb 08, 2017 4:12 pm

Its been a long few days... Lizzie has been in the hospital since Monday with severe stomach pain, they thought it was her kidneys shutting down and her white blood cells were extremely high. after many tests they have finally figured out that she has gastritis. she hasnt been able to eat or drink much and been to the hospital 3 times now over the last 2 weeks, first they thought it was a pinched nerve in her back, then they discovered 4 herniated discs and thought it was that. Today shes starting to look a bit better but i dont think she'll be out anytime soon. one day at a time. so shes (were) already gluten free and now theres guna be a whole new list of foods she cant eat, nothing greasy, high in fat, acidic foods and more. shes got a good team of doctors and nurses taking care of her.

Im holding the fort down and getting everything done. Man I sure have a much bigger appreciation for everything she does, shes one heck of a hard working woman taking care of me and our 6 kids. were a strong team though and will get through anything.

anyways I thought I should update ya'll and explain my absence.

Have a good night!

So sorry to hear about Lizzie,Al. I hope she recovers enough to be able to come home soon.
If you're looking for possible ways to alleviate gastritis, maybe try the FODMAP diet? It's definitely made a difference for me, so maybe it can help Lizzie too?

I have IBD, Al - similar. If you Google FODMAP, it will give you information on what conditions it can help. I have a hunch that gastritis can be helped too. Worth a try anyway.
