Ha! Ha! Colleen! Well you can't say it was dull.

WLLady Wow You're getting a goat named Gruff ,how exciting. Farrier is such a sweet man, willing to share and all that!
Oh just noticed, Gruff has a nice set of horns, perfect to give you a lift if you need it. Ahhhh my days of excitement when I had a goat are over, now it's your turn.LOL

And she takes those corners on the golf cart like a race car driver. One day it will flip and I'll be trapped and she'll be on the ground laughing. Guaranteed.

@WLLady. Really? A goat? I didn't think you'd get goats again after your horror stories.

Ha ha. It was fun tho..... and it was kind of treacherous for me..... I was usually the first one up the hills, and only when Colleen would scream, well, thats when I would whip around to see what was going on, and almost fall myself. Backwards, standing up. After the first time, I would just get up the hill, and look down at her from up above, lol.

She did say that she was going to tell her Dr. the next time that she saw him/her... that "THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH MY HEART", LOL. We did give them a pounding good workout tho.

We did walk thru the culvert. Should have waited until summer.... there WERE ice, and bodies thru there, according to Colleen.... as well as good sized rocks. Years ago, when the kids were little.... we used to go back there, and you could actually dive off the end. A few times of torrential rains thru that culvert, had undermined the bottom, and it was DEEP. Nothing changed there. Good thing Colleen was with me to kind of hold on to me, whilst I grabbed the dog with both hands...hair only, and yanked her back up into that culvert. She was in a hole... with ice surrounding her, and she couldnt' grab anything with her front paws.

We both did get helacious soakers... and I had to wring my socks out twice. Standing water in my boots. Terrible. For the boots. We kept walking and the cold wasn't too too bad. Her waterproof boots aren't so much... but we were in water over our calves somewhat, lol. Although after Colleen and Lacy left... I had to have a HOT bath to warm the butt cheeks and legs up. And, they are cold again!!

And Flat Rock... we took the Quad back to ride from point A to B to Home again... and it wasn't until we got back there originally to start at the cabin, that I told her I rolled the thing right over top of me, and it landed back on its feet. (I landed in a wheel... washout rut), and the only thing I suffered was a cracking good headache/neckache.

I didn't dump either one of us out of that this time. I bet Lacy is tuckered out and still sleeping. Holly got a ride up!

One of the trees we visited... I told Colleen about. Its looking pretty bad now.....so so old, that poor Oak tree.

Oh... I can tell you all.... WLLady will NOT be getting that goat, LOL. I know her that well at least.

Well there is good news and bad. I got a few miles from home heading to see WLLady, and I had forgotten both getwell presents. BOTH the goat and the jam. Can you believe it? But we soldiered on and got feed and then stopped in to see her.

She came out the door to greet us, made tea, and she seems to be on the mend. Met her mom, to all appearances a nice interesting lady. I don't know if she was prevaricating or not, but her mother said that WLLady's grandfather had 26 siblings, 25 of them girls. Now we know why she studies genetics. There is such a wide sampling in her family to do research on. (For serious, how did people manage, but I guess they did. They have my admiration.)

So thank you for the tea and I will try to remember the goat and the jam for next time.
