The old quote "hell was paved with good intentions" comes to mind.

:pop:
I'm a little stunned at the Cdns that feel it necessary to protest in the USA when we have our own government to take down.
Everyone is calling O'Leary a Trump. Think we'll have those protests here if O'Leary were to be elected?? Not likely. Frigging bunch of tarts.

So of course you heard about the Liberal Party Foreign Affairs Minister, Christian Freelands riding posting an event for an unauthorized protest for Donald Trump. Of course the event was posted on the Liberal partys CANADIAN website.
AND Of course Freeland was joining President Elect Trump for his inauguration ceremony.
Holy stab ya in the back!

Just another libtard being predictable.
Agreed. I'm a tad embarrassed by the whole thing.
I also wonder how we would feel if Americans were to come here to protest about something that Im sure we would say is none of their damned business.
Oh ya, no way would we be ok with them protesting our choices. Of course, I wouldn't of put up a stink because really, Trudeau is worth protesting every single day.
I know media is all over this, the Trump president stuff, but I don't know if anyone else in the USA knows this or not but..,Hillary and Donald didn't flip a coin to see who wins. People VOTED. He didn't win by a wee bit, he slaughtered Hillary.

I was hoping the self entitled, my feelings are hurt and everyone needs to see me have a tantrum, boo-hoo liberal poop would of died a miserable death at the end of 2016. Looks like 2017 is knee deep in libturds already.

C'mon 2019!!

Good evening, Trump fans and haters. lol

I am glad we are more reasonable in Canada and focus on real issues, like starting an inquiry that might take 6 months, to investigate our PM Trudeau who was speaking in Quebec and was asked a question in English but only answered in french. I am glad everything is so great in Canada that this is all we have to worry about. lol

Well it is the weekend!!! Nearing the end of high school semester 1, so time for exams, marking and report cards, though I will put that stuff off as long as possible, I love teaching, hate marking.

Going on my first "chicken road trip" of 2017 to pick up some chickens in Campbellford, I shouldn't, but could not pass upon getting the birds, they will add nicely to my existing breeding plans.

I consider myself pretty middle of the fence, politics-wise, but definitely more Liberal than Conservative. That said, I don"t vote for a party, I vote for the person and the platform he or she runs on. I go with my gut, and it generally doesn't steer me wrong. THAT said, Our last federal election had exactly zero people worth voting for in my opinion, but I had to cast a vote somewhere. I'll just say it wasn't Tater Tot. No matter my political leanings, I just don't think a drama teacher/underwear model/jetsetter is qualified for the job. It's not a birthright.
The American presidential race only had a couple people worth voting for, but they didn't get their nominations, and I can't vote in that country so it's a moot point anyway. I'll just say I would not have voted for either Trump or Hillary. Voting for option three or four would not have got them elected, but if they get enough votes, they get some money to try again next time.
I didn't think it was possible to have someone at America's helm that was even more cartoonish than Dubbleya, but The Great Gold Gazoo manages it. In spades. The thought of protesting the results of a legal election just boggles my mind. What a waste of time and money. Just wait until the sixth grader screws up, and fire him. Loudly. It would be the perfect end to his 'career'.
But anyway, politics is one of those things that presses all my wrong buttons, so here is a dose of cute to wash the palate clean.

Good saturday! Another damp cold (well, warm considering), foggy day. Ugh. Be nice to see some sun!! Its so so so muddy out!!

Colleen and her hubby came last night for a pizza party/movie night. We loaded the quads with beer/food... and trek'd back to the bush to the cabin. Gary had put a fire on earlier. It was so cozy and warm!! It was amusing to watch Colleen start peeling off her clothes, lol. While sitting in the house watching the movie (John Wayne... The cowboys), I was cold, where she told me it was perfectly comfortable, lol. I'll tell you, its damned cold right now, letting the stove burn itself out, so I can clean the ashes, and take the pipes apart to vacuum out to the outside wall. Its a good 4 feet from the wall to where the chimney starts. The walls in this house are so so thick. I have the dials fully open, but theres still a good bed of coals. I keep stirring them, and because its mild, and not drawing as good.... I smoke the damn room out occassionally.

House.. well downstairs is clean... both bathrooms.... so I feel I don't have to do a damn thing around here, if I don't want to. I try and read, and it makes me sleepy. I actually went to bed... and read... and finally turned out the light at well after midnight... but then was up at 3:30am.. read for a little while... and then woke back up at 5:15am... and read... and stayed awake. It will likely be an early one tonight.

Babysat for a little while this morning for Sawyer..... and my sister came and visited. Shes got two of my horses, and seems like this coming October, shes not willing to do chores anymore, for the winter. I will bring them home, and put Alice down. Candy will go back out with Rusty and Honey... and Honey picks on Candy...... Candy was sent out to my sisters, when HER horse Cody was put down.... and blah blah blah. Don't want her back really, but Alice was a major pick on... so she will be laid to rest. Bought her as a yearling in 1992. Shes been a good horse, but is requiring geriatric care... blanket in winter... corn oil... her teeth have needed attention... some pulled.... hay cubes... soaked beet pulp... and I am NOT willing to segregate her, and give her the special attention. She also requires a tub of Recovery to help with arthritis and muscle issues. A 3 month supply is $300. So... they will live out the summer on pasture at my sisters and the end of October will come back. NOT looking forward to that, so it will be here before I know it.

Well, off to stir the ashes again. Gary went to the hobby store... hes itching to put together another train layout... a smaller layout than the one he had when I first arrived on the scene. The whole bedroom upstairs was one big layout. You had to crawl under it as you entered the room and pop up in the middle. It was awesome... but needed the bedroom for my son Robert. He made a sort of other one... it was in the way in the living room and was put in the basement to be stored.... it so damp with rivers running thru it, etc... its toast. We have 3 empty bedrooms in the house now... well, they would be if more junk was tossed. One is my office.. one a spare room for company... and Daves' old room, with his bed still, his couch he saved... an old heirloom dresser... shelves he made... another bookcase... and that has been my hatching room!! Its got a wee brooder box in there, lol.

"We wouldn't be ok with Americans protesting here?"

The Americans (CIA) have directly interfered in governments, elections, and they have initiated or supported coups or military action or started wars or assinations of any government they didn't like.

Such as Time magazine's Man Of The Year Mohammed Mossadegh in Iran. They arranged his overthrow then installed a "pro-western" government run by the Shah of Iran, then they turned against him too.
" Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh (1882-1967) was a lawyer, professor, author, Governor, Parliament member, Finance Minister, and democratically elected Prime Minister of Iran.

Mossadegh fought both internal corruption and foreign interference, enacted social reforms and nationalized the Iranian oil industry.

In 1953, he was overthrown by a British-American coup, arrested and tried as a traitor in military tribunal court. It was the CIA’s first successful dismantling of a foreign government, and Iran has not known democracy since."
And you wonder why Iran hates the Americans!
And lets not forget the Americans SUPPORTED the dictator Saddam Hussein when he fought Iran then they went to war against him later.

Or the CIA supporting an overthrow in Honduras in 2010 because the Hondurans were supporters of Hugo Chavez in Venezuela http://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2 ... error.html

Or if the Palestinians democratically elect a government the USA doesn't like they'll make life miserable for that government.

Or the USA supported a brutal military dictator in Greece Georgios Papadopoulos, until 1974 when HE was overthrown. The USA is hated by Greek people and the US still has a large military base there.

The USA ran a brutal government in the Philippines from 1898-1946 when they finally were given independence.

The USA talks about democracy and fairness but you don't have to look far to see thats a bunch of :cowmuh: poop

"People VOTED. He didn't win by a wee bit, he slaughtered Hilary." Really? She only beat him by 2.9 MILLION votes!

Donald Trump knows how to win in a rigged game.....and he played the game to win! The only kudos I give him is that he's an amazing salesman. Proof that 1. Politicians don't see what's happening to a lot of Americans and 2. :cowmuh: poop baffles brains.

I'm generally an opinionated guy and always right of course..lol...but this thing about citizens of Canada heading down to the presidential inauguration to protest is unbelievable..in its shameless pomposity and misinformed and misguided ignorance...yeah yeah, doublespeak....it's their country, their system of government, their citizenry and their party ..not ours ...mind your own bleeping business!!!!...dumbasses...we would be outraged if the reverse happened with the exception that the Americans don't give a sweet patuty about what happens in Canada as long as the softwood lumber ( the prime stuff too) , oil and 2cent electricity keeps heading south...asshats!!!... Ok..chicken TV is in order..gonna pop a vein if i don't

Good afternoon,
After a long and serious consideration, I have decided to ignore the current administration, I figured if I listen to french CBC I will be able to keep my blood pressure down and as an aded benefit, after four years, I should be fully bilingual.
On another note, still in love with Amazon, in an effort to reduce inside boring jobs to leave more time for the outside intersting stuff, ordered iRobot vacuum cleaner on Wednesday, got an e-mail expected delivery on Friday, was on the road Friday morning, decided to track the order, it said "article handed over to the customer", called DH, yes indeed the driver just left. Amazing in almost kind of little creepy way ;)
So far watching "robbie" vacuuming has been very enjoyable, the dog on the other hand less then impressed.
Have a good one!
