Good Morning!
Vaseline seems to be the favourite choice for creating a barrier against cold/moisture for combs and wattles. I have used VetRX with good results.

ENJOY YOUR HUNTING / FISHING HERITAGE & the GREATNESS of CANADA
Good Morning!
Only minimally at the most, I only give them water for a limited time during warmer weather and then take it out. They have a dish of snow to eat as well. They are in an open air coop/pen that has lots of ventilation at the front, but I am thinking the back corner where they roost at night does not have enough ventilation resulting in cold, moist, stale air during the night. I will put some more vaseline on them, fix the ventilation and add some fresh dry shaving to absorb any moisture.ross wrote:QR_BBPOST Are they dipping combs/wattles in water Jim then freezing ?

Good Morning!
Yes it is a great place to visit, I took a group of high school students back in 2011. This time it is just my family of 4. Should be a great trip, we went all out got a great deals on flights and the travel agent I used in 2011 planned a custom tour for the 4 of us.... 4 different hotels, private van and driver... pineapple farm tour, history of chocolate tour, ziplining, whitewater rafting, hanging bridges hike, volcano viewing, fishing for sailfish and mahi mahi, crocodile viewing....Happy wrote:QR_BBPOST Ohhh Jim I'm so jealous!
