If I can make it, I will. With a 3 yr old plus our race and lacrosse seasons in full swing in the summer it's hard to commit to much....... I don't know if a provincial park is an option but it does offer the benefits of not needing to worry about toilet and wash facilities, they have little shops with lots of basics (like ice cream), playgrounds for kids, usually have covered bbq areas and beaches for swimming/ showing off our killer farmers tans.... Emily Provincial Park is one location I would offer for consideration. More or less centrally located and with some judicious travel planning, the 416 could be avoided by most...... Personally, I really like Jan's offer the best, but Ross needs to be a part of this if at all possible.

Cheers,
Dean

im a hobbit hermit! LOL and I havent been to a lot places in Ontario, never been to another province, never seen an ocean and the couple times I went to the US was Detroit to see Deftones and then to see Tool! (really great bands and incredible shows by the way) so in other words wherever we decide to hold the picnic we will be there! hopefully all 8 of us! (one of our daughters lives with her mom) so the sooner we figure it out the sooner Lizzie can book it off of work. were a bunch of outdoor redneck folk here and look forward to sleeping in a tent somewhere, not picky, looking forward to meeting more of you!

Sandbanks Provincial Park is supposed to be very nice (never been there myself, but know quite a few people who go every year).
I know it's not exactly halfway, and there's the dreaded TO to deal with for those in Western Ontario, but I thought I'd throw it out there as a suggestion anyway.

Hey that suits me, about 15 min away!
No matter where, I'm hoping to be there.

Need an escort convoy for Ross, to slow traffic a bit and run interference against the stupid lane-hopping idiots :) Also make sure he doesn't change his mind and make a run for it :D Maybe West people can all meet up before Toronto and take him through :D
