Thats not the first time your cornish has taken on the goose lol. I hear that clawtons cornish and guineas get along....i suspect the guineas know they will lose lol.

Stripping the last of the parsely leaves today for drying. Trying slowly to get the last of the herbs from the garden. A bit tender and fragile after yesterdays injections. Glad i have the day off work. At least i can do most of it sitting in my comfy chair at the table. Bugger is i spasmed out a muscle in my shoulder i guess from the death hug on the pillow during the injections. Gah....lol i think i could pwer sw ontario with the steroid heat today...take that hot flashes!!! Cortisone wins every time!!

Got the last bulbs planted on the weekend and then hubby found an escapee on the walkway having fallen out of the bag so i am going to try forcing it in the house. What the heck. Daffodil in december or january...i can live with that.

Have a great day all!!!

Just started looking for a new snowblower to replace our poor old one that does not want to keep pushing the amount of snow we get. What we really need is a toy like baronrenfrew's!
So where are you? Thunder Bay? You don't have a location in your profile.

Oh well I will just have to pick away at stuff everyday, going for some fun in the sun next week :fan:

Haha baron, not even close to that far north. In Priceville (Grey County). We tend to be get a fair bit of snow of when our neighbours 10 minutes to the west get none. It's a constant source of amusement to my co-workers in Guelph when I can't make it to the office because of a dumping of snow up this way.

It's true argosgirl, a friend of mine used to live on North Line just outside of Priceville, they were on that high spot by the new wind turbines and they had their own climate up there, drive a short distance to Durham and the weather was totally different. She always had snow before us!! LOL

Good morning everyone! Argosgirl, that's opposite to here.....we have the snow line just east of us, so we've had snow days where it's nice and sunny and beautiful here, and we get to melbourne or delaware and can't see a hand in front of our face and london is shut down! i like those snow days. we don't have to shovel, we can enjoy a glorious day and sit and listen to the weather report from east LOL. sometimes we get whallopped though...like a few years back when the 402 was closed down and all those people stranded...we got the end of those squalls and got buried in FEET of snow! overnight! the drifts were taller than the first story windows.
lots of frost last night. but no snow and looks like a ton of rain coming for later today and tonight!

well, had those injections on monday....and today i seriously have to chain myself down to my desk and stop thinking that i feel so good there's a ton of stuff needing doing! FINALLY, some relief from the constant pain....it's not gone, but on a scale of 1-10 i think i'm at a 4-5 today. instead of 7-8. what a difference! so back to writing papers. hubby stole (with permission) the truck this morning, so i can't drive anyways....still have no feeling along most of my left leg, so working a clutch-well....the standard is safe at home LOL. BUT i am actually feeling like i am good enough to walk to my treestand, and put the trail camera up and walk back. all by myself! LOL. so. i'll try to be good and NOT do that, and just take it easy today, and hopefully tomorrow will be just as good. i guess it's worth a couple of miserable days to feel better.

it always amazes me how fast little fuzzybutts grow. I hatched a few late last week i think it was, and they're already twice the size. svart hona is safe and snug under broody mom at tania's place, and hopefully growing like a weed, those babies are TINY! So. why would a black on black on black chicken lay tan coloured eggs and not black? i know scientifically it's because the melanocytes are making the chicken black, and don't get deposited into the calcification of the egg shell, but still....i would have thought they'd be much much darker or at least on the grey side.

hope everyone has a wonderful day!
