Hey! I'm in Saskatchewan. I've been really happy to see that we haven't had near as many cases of the virus as other places. My mother is in a nursing home in Regina. So far we have not had huge outbreaks in nursing homes, or large numbers of deaths in the province. Sadly, the fourth person to die here was a family friend. He would have been 70 this year. He was in poor health and had been for a long time - he had diabetes and kidney failure. He went for dialysis and was on a transplant list. He was in intensive care for about 3 weeks before he died. This is a scary disease, and they are supposed to be opening things here slowly and with several restrictions. My routine won't be changing for quite a while. I have a dentist appointment in June. It will be interesting to see where things are then, and whether or not it gets cancelled.

@Shnookie ...no offence meant...i just am an observer and oftime opinionator but i do think any jurisdiction, regardless of their 'right' to do so, that is rushing to get things back to 'normal' is pressing their luck...it may work out and then god help us, the I told you so's won't give up, and i can live with that...but if a second harsher wave hits, well, if you think this is almost unbearable you ain't seen nuthin' yet...I truly hope to be wrong....

I've heard it said that they think it will go for the summer then return again in the fall. I do hope restrictions get lifted but in a safe way.

As soon as our Premier announced that some businesses could open our gas price jumped 12 cents a liter. Aren't oil prices still low? Big business will be determined to make as much money as they can, even though most of us can't afford to spend much.

I'm afraid to see the tax jumps on everything when the government (Federal and Provincial)tries to get back all the money it has been giving out.

Some grocery items have increased in price too.

Gas prices are crazy, yes they are supposed to be the lowest in many many years with experts saying the price of gas should be in the 50 cent range. Just price gouging

Because of no pipeline Feds gave Irving oil permission to take their ships from east coast down around through the Panama Canal up to Vancouver and then either rail or trucks bringing at the oil from Alberta to Vancouver to put on the ships to go all the way south to Panama Canal and around the bypass that makes sense than to east not thru Que
