Good Morning!

Heidi is just fine. She is a 6yr old mutt goat, but I love her. She is an awesome, mom, milker and is great with my Grandkids, but she is a goat so there is always trouble brewing :)
I have been using my feet and toes my whole life. I remember the first time my brother in law saw me turn the door knob and open a door cause both my hands were full. Up until then I hadn't realized it wasn't "normal" behaviour.

Haha! I won my 4 month long battle with Rev Can. I know my poop and they can tie me up in letters and requesting documents all day long, but when I'm right I'll kill myself proving it with these guys. I got nothing to hide unlike soooo many people who deal in cash and avade taxes. I don't play those games. Got the accountant involved and taaaadaaaa! I'm right. Pretty sure I deserve some buttertarts or cheesecake to celebrate!

Good for you sandy!!!
Okay last call for eggs for my incubator. I have been entrusted (scared to death) to hatch svart honas shipped from nova scotia for a young lady in the neighbourhood. No pressure.
They will rest over night tonight and go in tomorrow morning. Surprised at how small the eggs are. Much like guineas.

Rained all day....so wet here! What a change from this summer. Nice and cool too. Having a tea trying to figure out what to cook for dinner. Opened the mail and threw all the junk out now theres nothing left lol. Dog needs an hour before food with his liver drug and he is reminding me every second that he is perilously close to starving to death...each second might...be...his.....very.....last.....
(No sympathy here!)

Nice and cool out!! Had the barn closed up today too because of the rain and everyone seems very happy. Guess i will get chores done and then worry about dinner.

Keep all your fingers and toes cross for these svart honas....i hope i dont crack under the pressure.

Good luck with the eggs WLL, especially the svart honas. I have 1 svart hona from over 20 shipped eggs, sent in 3 different batches incubated by me and Redninja. Hopefully you will have better results. Fingers crossed.

Yeah we are kind of prepared for anything...lol. the box was apparently in pretty rough shape but they all seem intact. I have to candle and look at the air sacs yet...if they are all fragmented they may getvturned once a day manually....

Aye, now the rain has hit Kathy: why I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blooowwww your house down. Stay dry, I've heard of flooding down by Kitchener.

Good day!! It didn't really rain much here, but my sister got about 33mm, she lives near Waterford. It just pizzled on and off some... and poured for about an hour, off and on. At last look we got about 1/2 inch. Been mostly sunny today. Although the rains are forecast to come back tomorrow and Sunday.

Got a babyshower to go to for my son's girlfriend. They are having a boy. I used my airmiles and got them a baby monitor... and when I told them that.... (wanted to make sure she didn't put one on her registry), my son said... hmmm, not too sure I like the idea of a baby monitor that has WiFi. Hes so controversial on almost everything. I told him to throw it out then. Don't care.

Colleen and I went to Hagersville Sale this morning. Took the last of my beautiful Royal Palm Jennies and two 3 month old Jakes. I really didn't want to.... wanted to keep at least one boy... have their father and 2 hens..... but it is what it is. Downsizing for winter. I have them, and they are a year old this year. Or a year and a bit. I think they have enough life/youngness in them to supply me with eggs next year. Although they may be wore out by then. I hatched the Jennies I took today to the sale in February. So... they obviously were laying last January. And, I still get the odd egg!! They never stopped. The Jennies I took today have just started to lay... and they were fertile. The Tom that was with them was sold with a Jenny last week. And two Jennies... mates to the two boys. I answered an Ad that was on Kijiji.

So, I have my OLD pair of Royals... the Tom is not fertile any more.. and the hen laid maybe two eggs last spring... they are pets mostly.... and my OLD pair I got from Brebis of the Red Palms. Shes really slowed down on the eggs this year.... only hatched ONE from her, and I have that boy. I also have 2 other Jennies I kept from this years hatch, and will pair him with them in the spring. I think I may be in the market for some new blood, a new Royal Palm Tom. If anyone has one now, or will have one next spring, that would be awesome!!

I also still have the two poults that WLLady hatched for me. Not sure what I am doing with them yet. Maybe there will be a boy . Likely is... one is noticeably bigger than the other. They are so cute. Love baby turkeys!! There were others there...at the sale..... I think some Nary's... but they looked scratchy looking and sickly. Poor things. Mine were so healthy and CLEAN, white with the black. I think they are the prettiest birds going.

Also took 8 more layers.... downsizing them too. I've got 27 newbies in the back room, I want to bring out to the front. Trying to get birds out of the back back room. So... in the old farrowing barn, I will have my rooster condo.... and a couple pens with the polish... and araucana's. Not sure of the spelling, lol. The 3 pens IN the farrowing barn will be full of Guinea's, lol. I have 24 in the brooder box right now, and I'm not sure whats in the one pen. I can't remember what Kathy hatched for me, but I did sell 29. 3 were hatched by a chicken... earlier, and they went to Sandy.

Well, I guess I will go do something. Did started cleaning in here, but that gets real old, fast, lol.

Weekend is nearly here!!
