Just renewed my small game license for 2016 . Now to get serious about some bunnies for the pot . Almost forgot it ran out . Firmed up some hunting permissions again from last year . Just enough snow for tracking & not to much for walking / shuffling . Luck

Good morning, snowing here looks quite wintery, DH is snow blowing a trail thru the back 10, so we can go for a genteel hike. ;)
Would like to report on the LAC BROME duck.
It was tender and delicious and smelled lovely when roasting (in my mind a sign the feed was good) the processing was a bit sloppy, from some of the pictures on this forum, most of you do a better job.
Have nice relaxing Sunday!

Hmmm, you got it just in time...they had a catastrophic fire there that killed 50000 ducks on New Year's Day.

I guess I should have bought two.
Let's hope a company that has been around for 100 years will be able to bounce back.

Well. Been up since 3:30. Something was digging in my 'ceiling' and woke me. I, of course, woke Lou from his snoring zombie state and sent him outside. The siding has been lifted and he's in and out of the attics trying to figure it out. Now they're getting ready to climb on the roof - top of siding to see what it is. Always fun on the coldest night of the season so far and pitch black out.
I'm doing my part, drinking coffee and keeping the fire going :gaah: :gaah: :pull_hair: :pull_hair:

Oh there goes the alarm. Time to get up :sleep-027:

Monday. Everyone's back on schedule. PHEW!! Just when I thought a crime was about to be committed...the calendar saved them! :stars:
Today, back to reality for me too but definitely was nice to not work for last week or so.

Have a good day y'all

Oh no Sandy that's doesn't sound good. Hopefully you are able to catch the animal responsible. 5:30 am came way to early this morning :( a week off was wonderful. I'm hoping my chickens did well last night due to the cold. I checked around 7pm and it was -4 in coop. I need to figure out how to give them late night snack when I work late. When I get home they are all snuggled in for the night.
